Here is a list of 10 things you can do to celebrate Lunar New Year 2022 at Disney California Adventure Park, Disneyland, Downtown Disney, and the Disneyland Resorts now through Feb. 13, 2022. Disneyland Resort’s Lunar New Year celebration is a tribute to Chinese, Vietnamese and Korean cultures with a touch of Disney magic featuring Asian-inspired food and drinks, vibrant décor, keepsake merchandise, and exciting entertainment!
Here are 10 ways that you can cake memories with family and friends while sharing wishes for good health, luck and prosperity throughout the year to come at the Disneyland Resort in California.
1. See the new procession with Mulan
Watch Mulan’s Lunar New Year Procession debuting a new float decorated in red and gold symbolizing good fortune and happiness featuring Mulan and Mushu accompanied by traditional Chinese drummers and performers.
2. Experience live performances
See live performances daily at the The Paradise Garden Bandstand. Performances will feature traditional musical instruments, along with Chinese, Korean and Vietnamese folk dancers. The San Francisco-based musical group Melody of China will perform a fusion of Chinese folk, classical and contemporary instrumentals.
3. Special character appearances
Interact with Disney characters during special appearances at the Paradise Gardens Gazebo, including Tigger, Mulan and Mushu, Mickey and Minnie, and the Three Little Pigs – all dressed in their Lunar New Year finery. Raya, from Walt Disney Animation Studios’ film “Raya and the Last Dragon,” will debut at the Disneyland Resort during the Lunar New Year celebration under a forest canopy on the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail, Guests may encounter the heroic Raya, greeting new friends and visiting from the newly reunited lands of Kumandra.
4. Try Asian-inspired dishes at the Lunar New Year Marketplaces
Try Lunar New Year Marketplaces offering Asian-inspired food and beverages with a Disney twist. Important Information
- 2022 Sip and Savor Passes expire February 13, 2022, and entitlement tabs may not be redeemed at any other event.
- Valid Magic Key pass and photo ID must be shown upon purchase of the Sip and Savor Pass to receive the special price and lanyard.
- Each entitlement tab must be attached to the Sip and Savor Pass prior to redemption and may be redeemed for one (1) eligible food or nonalcoholic beverage item at a participating Lunar New Year Marketplace, dining location or cart.

Stroll beneath strings of ornamental lanterns at the Lucky Wishes Wall and share your own special wishes of hope, health and happiness that roar with confidence for the Year of the Tiger.

9. Hotels celebrating Lunar New Year
Visit Disneyland Resort hotels participating in the Lunar New Year festivities. Chef Goofy at Goofy’s Kitchen at the Disneyland Hotel is sharing in the Lunar New Year festivities by adding both spicy chicken and pork belly bao buns to the buffet. Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa has added Mickey Mouse-shaped, tiger-striped sugar cookies, lantern whoopie pies, and assorted pretzel sticks to their lobby cart.
10. Downtown Disney District
Appreciate the beautiful new Lunar New Year mural created by Disney Live Entertainment Associate Art Director Elizabeth Lisa Kang, located at the former ESPN Zone in the Downtown Disney District. Elizabeth Lisa Kang’s talents have contributed to a variety of productions and attractions at Disney Parks around the world.
